Rot-Engine
It plants its feet and melts your defenses from across the field.
Threat Dossier
The chassis of a conquered heavy machine, split at the welds and rebuilt by parasite tissue into a ranged corrosion siege unit. It walks to the edge of your range, plants, and holds — you won't stagger it, you won't knock it back. Then the bile lance opens up: a sustained jet of toxic-green corrosion from a sac fused into the engine cavity, eating through tower armor and fortification walls from a distance. It doesn't chase. It doesn't care about you. It just grinds your structures to slag until you're forced to leave cover and come to it. Often fielded with a Graft-Breacher — the Breacher opens the gap, the Rot-Engine keeps it open.
Threat Read
- Plants at the edge of your tower line and holds; near-impossible to stagger or knock back.
- The bile lance corrodes armor and walls from standoff range — artillery, not a charger.
- Ignores infantry to keep grinding structures, forcing defenders out of cover into the swarm.
- The bile sac brightens before firing; concentrate fire to detonate it early and splash the Rippers around it.
Recognize It
- Rusted industrial chassis split open at the seams and welds
- Swollen toxic-green bile sac visible through burst bodywork
- Wet organic ducts pulsing through axle joints and exhaust ports
- Hollow breached cockpit — no glass, no operator, something wet inside
