Render
It used to be a soldier. The parasite kept everything but the hesitation.
Threat Dossier
A Render is what the Scourge makes when it finds a warrior worth keeping. The Chitin Warhosts were a shell-world fighting race — big, plated, born to break things — and the parasite kept all of it and threw away the parts that pause. It cracked the carapace, threaded itself through the gaps, and aimed the result at the nearest thing worth destroying. A gunner gets one clean look before it hits the wall: low, wide, moving faster than that much shell has any right to, green light bleeding from the seams. Nobody calls it by the name it used to have. On the line, it's just the part of the wave that gets there first.
Threat Read
- Charges the nearest fortified position in a dead-straight line — no flanking, no hesitation, no ranged attack.
- Armored leading carapace eats your opening volley; breach nodes at the seams glow as a health cue.
- At half health it purges its restraint organelles and enrages — speed and ferocity spike, nodes burst, raw tissue runs blood-hot.
- Pure melee pressure that punishes standing still in any lane or breach room.
Recognize It
- Thick black iridescent carapace cracked by seeping parasite growth
- Elongated bone-pale blade-claw forelimbs, serrated on the inner edge
- Parasite tissue bulging through shoulder joints and faceplate
- No eyes — sensory organs replaced by breach nodes
